NAL is proud to support trailblazing candidates once they win and as they prepare for and hold public office.
We know our democracy is stronger and more equitable because of the contributions of New American elected officials. Our organization bolsters their important work through our non-partisan and political entities. Through our Elected Officials Network, we provide them with the support, networking, training and resource opportunities needed to lead and serve all of our communities.
We accomplish our goals by:
- Training and inspiring immigrants, refugees, and their allies to engage in our democracy.
- Building partnerships and coalitions among New American elected officials so they can advance more inclusive policies from state to state.
- Researching solutions to create a more inclusive democracy where every American is represented.
- Honoring the contributions of outstanding New American elected officials.
To ensure our national priorities and political power are acted upon, we launched our first ever New American Elected Officials Advisory Council in Spring 2021. This group of six New American elected officials from key electoral states provide thought leadership on critical issues facing New American communities and policy solutions that can address them.
We also proudly support a growing community of over 400 New American elected and appointed officials across the country through policy guidance, networking opportunities, and our annual Power and Policy summit. Join our Elected Officials Network today!
