Our Movement
New Americans hold immense political power. From school boards and city councils to Congress and the White House, we have the power to transform our country and government, creating a democracy that works for and represents all of us.
Since its founding in 2010, NAL has embraced the immigrant experience as a civic leadership asset, offering comprehensive support from initial candidate training and campaign to governance support for those elected to office. By the conclusion of 2025, we will have trained more than 2,000 New Americans nationwide, with more than 200 alumni now serving in elected or appointed positions.
