New American Leaders and Vote Run Lead have teamed up to bring you a two-part series to show you the ins and out of ranked choice voting (RCV) and why you should consider bringing it to your city and state!
We’ll kick things off on Thursday, March 4th with a representative from the New York City Campaign Finance Board and Maria Perez and Grace Ramsey, Co-Directors of Democracy Rising. Day 1 will focus on the nuts and bolts of RCV, sharing how votes are tallied, the impact it has on candidates, and how it benefits New American and BIPOC communities. Then on Day 2, Friday, March 5th, we’ll be joined by Heidi Sieck and Aisha Chughtai, two RCV campaign veterans, to do a deep dive into campaigning techniques, messaging, and RCV dos and don’ts.
