The New American Leaders today urged Senate Democrats to continue to fight for American workers, not corporations, while they negotiate the COVID-19 relief package in the U.S. Senate. Please see the statement below by Sayu Bojwani, founder and New American Leaders (NAL).
“COVID-19 does not discriminate. It doesn’t see race, ethnicity, gender or borders. That’s why any response package Congress passes must include healthcare for all, including undocumented immigrants, who will be disproportionally impacted without healthcare. It’s also important we acknowledge that this global pandemic is happening during an election year. The COVID-19 response package should include funding to ensure all Americans are able to register to vote while we all are doing our part by staying home. During these difficult and unprecedented times, we must remember that the only way we’re going to get through this is together,” Sayu Bhojwani, founder and president of NAL.
