NAL is proud to support trailblazing candidates once they win and as they prepare for and hold public office.
- We know our democracy is stronger and more equitable because of the contributions of New American elected and appointed officials. Through our Elected and Appointed Officials Network, we provide them with the support, networking, and continuing education opportunities needed to lead and serve all of our communities.
We accomplish our goals by:
- Personalized governing support. One-on-one guidance to navigate policymaking, constituent demands, and the complex dynamics of being a New American officeholder—support and a perspective they cannot get elsewhere.
- Immersive continuing education programming. Hands-on learning through site visits and training that deepen policy understanding, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare officials to respond to challenges with confidence.
- Leadership rooted in lived experience. We keep immigrant voices at the center, helping electeds lead with authenticity, justice, and a deep understanding of the communities they represent.
