Following the horrendous attacks at two mosques in New Zealand, Sayu Bhojwani, President and Founder of New American Leaders, issued the following statement:
“Today, the world mourns the loss of the 49 people who were senselessly killed at the Al Noor and Linwood mosques in New Zealand. These horrific acts of violence impact us all. As a community united against hate, the New American Leaders network offers our heartfelt condolences to all those who are impacted by this crime.
“This tragedy brings the disturbing rise of Islamophobia around the world to light. As a global community, we must be united in our work to stand up against hate, call out public figures who stoke fear and mistrust, and work tirelessly to create communities that are inclusive of all people and religions. New American Leaders and its national community is committed to creating this kind of inclusive world and stands with our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially in this time of mourning.”
