Thinking about running for office? 5 things to consider before launching your campaign!
Identify the issues that you’d like to tackle in your community. By starting small and local, you can map out the change you’d like to enact and determine which office would be most suited to your goals and expertise.
Research the office you’d like to run for. What year are you running in? Is the seat you’re running for a vacant one, or does a tried and true incumbent hold it? These are just some questions to ask yourself as you plan your next steps.
Plan your finances! Fundraising will be critical when it comes to running an effective and successful campaign. Research campaign finance laws in your state and determine how you’ll raise money to hit your target goal.
